Hôtel de Savoie

I am regular traveller but this is worst experience of my life, room was very dirty and experience, i paid 169 euro for single night but after booking I had wait 45 minutes for check-in, surroundings of the room smelly, even when I entered in the room I feel whole room filled with toilet smell, location of the hotel is very good but need to reconstruct of this building, no WiFi facilities, even SIM card signal were not proper in the room, mattresses was not comfortable, no proper cleaning, no exhaust in the room, no toilet sandals were available in the room. Power plugs in the room are not at proper place. Disgusting 🫣

Almost didn't stay here because of the low reviews, but glad we did! For its location, it's amazingly cheap, and comfortable enough. Sure, it's dated and could be cleaner, but that's what I would have expected from a 100+ year old building. It is a converted convent, attached to the church. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Our room was a decent size, the bed was comfortable, and the shower excellent. Can fully recommend if you can get over the fact it is a little bit old.

Great location. Right on the thick of the action in the old town and only a few metres from the canal and then the lake. Heaps of bars and restaurants right outside but not noisy from our room. Hotel itself is entered through the church. We had room on top floor - 4. No view except church through small window. Room was hot but there is a fan. Have to watch your feet and head moving around as it is on the loft area. Owner is quirky but helpful. Can not check in before 16.00.
